Welcome to the Saint Alphonsa Catholic Church, Austin, Texas.
Saint Alphonsa Catholic Church is a parish of the Syro-Malabar Rite belonging to the Saint Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago.
The growing community of believers in this church (about 100 families now) trace their Christian roots to St. Thomas the Apostle, who brought Christianity to India and was martyred there.
Rich in tradition, both in liturgy and life, this vibrant parish exuberate faith, commitment, traditional values and enthusiasm. Holy Mass is celebrated on weekdays and on Sundays both in Malayalam (a language of South India) and English (2nd Sunday of the month). In keeping with the traditions of the Syro-Malabar rite, Religious Education is imparted on every Sunday.
